Join us for the 4th Annual BoobieQ!
Project Chemo Crochet is cooking up some fun and would love for you to come!
You are invited to join us for a day of fun, food, and games at the FOURTH ANNUAL BOOBIEQ for Blankets! The family friendly barbeque will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015 from 12-3pm at Baylands Park, Sunnyvale CA. (999 E Caribbean Dr., Sunnyvale CA 94089).
Each year the BOOBIEQ raises thousands of dollars to ship chemotherapy blankets around the world to men, women, and children battling cancer as well as host community events across the nation to increase awareness and participation. Over the past two years, over 700 cancer patients have benefited from the funds raised at the BOOBIEQ. It is a wonderful tradition that continues to grow in popularity each year.
Admission to the BOOBIEQ is free, but we encourage participants to donate during the event for food, raffles, and silent auction items. Your helpful donations are needed and appreciated. No one should feel alone in their fight! That is why it is more important than ever to raise money to be able to continue to comfort our cancer patients.
If you are unable to attend but would like to contribute, you may do so by mail or PayPal. Remember Pink Warriors, Inc is a 501c.3 nonprofit organization therefore all contributions are tax deductible.
If your company offers matching gifts, you can double your contribution! If you are interested in becoming an event sponsor or donating items for silent auction, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

All Star Love
As I was on my run this morning, being able to finally decompress from an extravagant 3 days in Minnesota, I had an epiphany. The events over the course of those 3 days, were indescribable. I often found myself in awe and saying "I do not deserve this" or "I cannot believe I am here." But it wasn’t until this morning, that I realized why.
Why We BoobieQ
After my mom was officially diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer on December 2nd, she asked me if I would do a “race” for her. The biggest one I could think of was the Susan G Komen 3Day event. That was when the Pink Warriors were born. I scheduled our fundraiser, the BoobieQ, for Saturday June 2nd because it was exactly 6 months from the official diagnosis. It was a goal date for my mom. It would be a day to celebrate living and surviving 6 months with stage 4 breast cancer. Even though I remember my mom being in pain that day, she fought through the pain and enjoyed herself. I had suggested she take a nap (I could see the pain in her face), but she replied “No, these people are here for us.” (Always a gracious hostess!) It was at the end of the first annual BobbieQ that my mom made me promise to keep it going whether she was here or not. And that is why we are still BoobieQ-ing.
Boobie-Q 2013 is Quickly Approaching!
It’s that time of year again. The first weekend of June is quickly approaching which means its time for the BoobieQ!
A Runners Reflection
A few weeks back, an old friend of ours (and blanket recipient), Carrie suggested that we participate in the “For Pete’s Sake Run to MaGerks 5k” Being that Nicole already had her own intense sporting event scheduled for the day, I was the lucky nominee to participate. I thought to myself, "They’re a great organization fighting for the same cause, It’s been about 2 years (and about 20 lbs.) since participating in my last 5K, and the venue was about a mile from our house. How can I possibly pass it up?"
